TORRINGTON, CT Spacers are now available for use with Norse “Big T” receivers. The new spacers are used to shim out receivers installed on compressible exterior surfaces, particularly vinyl siding. Spacers build the receiver out to a position flush with the latch to which it mates without compromising the clamping power and performance abilities of the latch.

Spacers match the footprint of the company’s “Big T” receiver and can be used in any application where a “Big T” receiver needs to be raised from its mounting surface. “Big T” receivers figure principally in Norse ShutterUp Latches® for hurricane protection of doors and windows.

The spacers are made of weather-impervious polypropylene, come in a neutral tint, are paintable and require no maintenance.

They are available in 1/8-, 1/4- and 1/2-inch thicknesses, and are sold in any quantity. Contractor discounts are available.
