JOINING HURRICANE SHUTTERS ON CURVED OR ANGLED OPENINGS, SUCH AS BAY WINDOWS OR STOREFRONTS, CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED USING THE NORSE HURRICANE LATCH AND THE HINGED ‘P’ RECEIVER

PANELS ARE HELD TOGETHER WITH A STRONG, SPRING-LOADED COMPRESSIVE FORCE AT ANY ANGLE NEEDED. THE HINGED ‘P’ RECEIVER AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTS TO THE ANGLE OF THE VERTICAL JOINT OF THE ADJACENT PANELS

  • ONE, TWO OR MORE NORSE BOTTOM BRACES ARE USED AT THE BOTTOM EDGE OF A SHUTTER FOR FLOOR ATTACHMENT AT A DOOR OR OTHER OPENING TO ENSURE AGAINST SHUTTER MOVEMENT. FASTENING TO CONCRETE OR WOOD FLOORING IS ACCOMMODATED. The Norse Bottom Brace shown here is designed to work with hurricane panels (plywood or other materials) to 3/4”/19mm thick. RECOMMENDED PANEL THICKNESSES: 3/4”/19MM. MINIMUM RECOMMENDED PANEL THICKNESS: 5/8”/16MM
